Anyone know of a good product I could use, like a wax or polish? I own a bugger, but am not very good with it, and my nav is black, so I don't want to mess it up more, but there are some ugly swirls.

Well, swirl marks are a pain in the ass. I run a carwash and detail shop so this I know for sure. Its a multistep process to remove them. I know meguiars makes a product called swirl remover. I have never heard back from someone who bought it as to how well it worked. What you need is an orbital buffer, with a yellow foam pad, and a synthetic cut compound that is a light cut. Using the orbital in slow, deliberate strokes do the entire vehicle. After that, you have to wipe it clean and then wax. But it is pertinant that you use a foam pad, as a terry cloth bonnet will really not do the job

Great, thanks...I will try to use the buffer. You say to use low speed? I think the lowest speed on my wheel is 300 rpm, is that too slow? I have a white and a dark grey foam pad, do I need a different one? Thanks!

Joe

Joe, the color I think is negligible. However, you don't want to use that buffer. You need an orbital, which aren't normally speed adjustable. You can get a cheap one from craftsman thats battery operated for like $30.

Oh, I missed that part. My brother has an orbital, I'll borrow his. Thanks!
