I haven't done any research yet, but I'm sure there are more than a few different "chips" (Or programmers) available for the '03. Does anyone have any recomendations?

OK Joe, thats a good one. For your particular application, there are a plethra of options. You can use any which one you want, depending on the money you wish to spend.

There are several, some listed below

Diablosport Predator
Superchips Microtuner
Hypertech Hyperprogrammer

I personally believe that Diablosport has the best equipment for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles. I don't really like to "dis" any of the companies, but superchips does't have their shit together. And hypertech is the most expensive of the three.

OK, scratch the predator. Even though they are in my opinion the best, they have not yet released the 03-up navigator unit. On to the next option

Improved Horsepower and Torque
Easy Installation - No Tools Necessary
Improved Fuel Economy
Optimized Drivability
Diagnostic Trouble Code Reading Capability
In addition, part number 1715 provides the ability to:

Adjust Shift Points
Adjust Shift Firmness
Eliminate Speed Limiter
Recalibrate Speedometer for Larger Tire Sizes, only on models 1999 and later
Recalibrate Speedometer for Gear Changes, only on models 1999 and later
Optim
Part#: 1715
Description: Lincoln Navigator, 5.4, 1997-2003

$465.25 from superchips. Kind of expensive. Probably want to go with a custom tune as well, which costs even more.

Hypertechs is http://www.hypertech.com/product_searchvehicle.html

There is no listed price, but if I remember correctly it was in the mid $400 range as well.

You could also use a diablosport deltachip. Its less easy to install, and customizations require removal and sending off for reprograming
